If you are ready for some football, it can be exasperating to find out that you can’t watch it online. However, even without a cable TV subscription you can still watch the upcoming NFL events live stream. This NFL live stream guide explains how and also includes all the streaming options available.
How to Watch Sunday Night Football Live Streaming
Sunday Night Football is without fail the most watched series via cable. ESPN airs it, but the good news is that you don’t need cable to watch it. Through Sling TV, you can now watch Sunday Night Football online every week without cable subscription. Most importantly, you will also get the NFL analysis you crave from ESPN. This includes Pre Season and Post Season game analysis, NFL Live Stream, NFL Insiders, and more.
Sling TV is backed by Dish Network and allows you to stream about 20 popular cable channels online through your computer, tablet, phone or TV. It is a new streaming service and the basic packages include:
- ESPN live stream
- Disney and more
All this costs only $20 per month and the best part is that no contract binds you to the service. There is also a free trial period.
Sling TV also allows you to watch NFL online via your TV. This is a Roku 3 streaming player. You may get a Roku 3 player at half its price plus a free Roku 2 player if you pre-pay 3 months of Sling. It is cheap in the long run and will carry you through the majority of the NFL season. Many mobile devices support this streaming service but only T-Mobile customers get an incredible 30% savings paying only $14/month. You can also cancel your subscription at any time. If you are a big fan of NFL, you will never have to worry about data coverage fees thanks to T-Mobile’s Binge On feature. If you’re a Verizon Wireless customer, you can also stream NFL Monday night games live on your device free through the NFL Mobile app.
You can also watch Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football games without Cable TV. NFL has contracts with NBC, CBS, and FOX, all of which are network TV stations that are available for free with an antenna. NBC offers live streaming of Sunday Night Football on their website, but you may need a Pay-TV login to watch it. However, you can’t pause, rewind, or record unless you own a DVR device. If you are a Verizon Wireless customer, you can live stream Sunday Night games on your mobile devices through the NFL Mobile app.
What about Thursday Night Football?
It’s hard to watch Thursday Night Football online in the US because the NFL Network owns part of the broadcast rights. Some TV stations like CBS have over time acquired partial rights to Thursday Night Football. In 2017 they simulcasted 8 Thursday Night games in 2016. They also streamed 6 NFL games in the 2017 season for free on their website, with no pay TV authentication required. The games also included two regular season match-ups, some AFC playoff games, and most notably, Super Bowl 53. Again, if you’re a Verizon Wireless customer, you can live stream Thursday Night Football on your device using the NFL Mobile app.
Watch NFL Online On-Demand with NFL Game Pass
Though it’s practically impossible to catch every single NFL game live, the new US version of NFL Game Pass makes it all possible. This service launched in late July 2015 allows you to watch football games on demand the day after they air. It includes all 256 regular season games, some live out-of-market preseason games, and even games from previous seasons, including the Super Bowl matches. This is a great option for NFL fans who want to watch football games they missed later on with no commercials. NFL Game Pass is affordable and comes with various packages including a 7-day free trial.
NFL and Yahoo Live Streaming
In the 2017 season, Yahoo helped the NFL to live stream a regular season game for free. The NFL has streamed the Super Bowl in the past, but they hadn’t sanctioned a legal live stream of a regular season game.
NFL Sunday Ticket without Subscription
Of late, DirecTV started offering their NFL Sunday Ticket without a satellite TV package. This package provides live out-of-market NFL games streamed directly to your PC, mobile devices, game consoles, and streaming players, such as Roku and Chromecast. However, it is only available if you live in town-homes, apartments, and condos that don’t allow or can’t receive DirecTV service. If you live in San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York City or you have enrolled in a select university; you can also stream NFL games online. If you aren’t in school, the Sunday Ticket streaming package starts at $49.99 a month for four months. This comes up to about $200 for the whole season but as the season goes on the price drops. From October 19th, the price stood at $49.99 a month for just 3 months (a savings of $50 off the regular season price). If you are a student at a 4-year university, you can get the same streaming service for just $24.99 a month. That’s only about $100 for the season for live out-of-market games.
Watch NFL Live Stream Your Mobile
If you are wondering how to watch NFL 2018-19 season live stream online, you can catch the live on your mobile device with Verizon Wireless. As a customer, you can download the NFL Mobile app and watch all the live NFL games they offer. These include Sunday Afternoon games and National broadcasts as well as Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football and Sunday Night Football live on your mobile devices. Remember that the NFL live stream will only work on your mobile devices, not your computer or TV.
Stream NFL Live Online Outside the US
None of the options above will work for you if you don’t live in the US. However, you can still watch live football games through NFL Game Pass. This allows international customers to watch NFL online in HD. NFL Game Pass offers DVR and on-demand options and is also available across a variety of devices. It also gives you the option to view up to 4 games at once. This way you can’t miss any of the action. In some cases, blackouts may occur.
